Privilege, Corruption, Paranoia

The most powerful of the gods; you are a member of Concord Olympus’ ruling class. But with power comes privilege, and you wield yours carelessly, despite the knowledge that time is running out. Your godly power is no longer what it once was, and those previously believed to be infallible have fallen. Will you squander your last vestiges, or will you forge yourself into something new to survive in this godless age?

Playable Characters

  • Aphrodite - Love is eternal, and Aphrodite has made a comfortable life for herself as owner of the Dove & Pearl Escort Service. Wife of Hephaestus and lover of Ares, she maintains her independence and sends her “doves” to raise the spirits of the lovelorn and the lonely. The fact that she has accumulated valuable secrets and significant wealth by doing so is serendipity. Lately, however, some of Aphrodite’s doves have flown the coop. Are they simply striking out for themselves, or is something more sinister at play.

  • Apollo - A wealthy playboy, when he’s not living it up at a party or club, Apollo spends most of his time avoiding the manipulations of his mother. Leto, and attempting to reconnect with his estranged sister, Artemis. Complicated feelings surrounding his father’s death, and potentially losing his own divinity have hit him hard, however, and Apollo is beginning to wonder if the party is finally coming to an end.

  • Ares - Like love, war is eternal, and Ares has thrived in this modern age. Already a successful arms dealer, he has recently pivoted to politics, and plans to run for governor. With a hand in almost everyone’s pocket, and key investments with certain powerful figures, no one can doubt Ares’s influence on both the mortal world and the divine. And, now that Zeus is gone, there’s nothing stopping him from taking what he believes is his rightful place as King of the Gods.

  • Artemis - Once a wealthy heiress who turned her back on her family, Artemis is estranged from her mother, Leto, though she still holds a soft spot for her brother, Apollo. She has managed to build a life dedicated to the thrill of the hunt as leader of the vigilante Poison Arrows gang. She and her followers are determined to protect the city’s innocent and punish the guilty when no one else will.

  • Athena - A respected professor, orator and anthropologist, Athena often takes the position of adviser to other gods, subtly shaping their decisions until they align with her own. A master manipulator, she sees the big picture when no one else can, and is always one step ahead in almost every situation–-as is befitting the goddess of wisdom and victory.

  • Demeter - A beloved socialite known for her charitable works, Demeter wins prizes for her roses and is a member of multiple park conservancies. Her initiative to lower food waste by transporting damaged produce to soup kitchens has been spotlighted in the media numerous times. While she maintains a strained relationship with her daughter, Persephone, she otherwise seems to have a perfect life. But nobody can really be that perfect, can they?

  • Hades - Underworld kingpin and owner of Tartarus Prison, Hades is arguably one of the most powerful gods in the city. Rival of the Titan crime family, he has carefully built his empire brick by brick, manipulating or corrupting others in the process, though he rarely shows his face. A mysterious figure pulling the strings from the shadows, many of the divine fear him as much as they respect him. How will he react now that the throne lies empty?

  • Hephaestus - Hephaestus has always been happiest working with his hands. Co-owner of Chariot Transportation Services with Hermes, Hephaestus spends most of his days covered in grease and tinkering with carburetors. Still, some aren’t willing to let go of his past as weapon maker to the gods. Ares, in particular, is trying to pressure Hephaestus into returning to the forge, but his connection to Hephaestus’s wife, Aphrodite, complicates things.

  • Hermes - As messenger of the gods, if it happens in the city, Hermes knows about it. Co-owner of Chariot Transportation Services with Hephaestus, fence of not-quite-legal goods, and information broker, Hermes is the epitome of “the guy that knows a guy.” He can find what you want or need quickly… for a price, but he’s definitely prone to getting in over his head. Now, Hermes may have made one of the biggest mistakes of his life, by trusting someone who he definitely shouldn’t.

  • Hestia - Owner of The Copper Kettle Diner and co-founder the Spring Street Clinic, Hestia prides herself on making sure that those in need feel welcome and cared for. Lately, however, several of her charges have gone missing under suspicious circumstances, and it has been difficult to get anyone to investigate. Hestia doesn’t normally take matters into her own hands, but this time she may not have a choice.

  • Poseidon - Dockmaster and head of an international smuggling ring, Poseidon frequently works with his brother Hades to ship illegal goods into and out of the city. While his relationship with his brother has been cordial, Poseidon has made it clear that he wants a bigger piece of the pie. He and his other brother Zeus never really got along, and Zeus’s death, and the empty throne, have only increased Poseidon’s desire for power. Now, many speculate that a conflict between the two remaining brothers may be brewing.
